Peter Schlemmer

Mr. Schlemmer is an Upper Peninsula native, born and raised in Gladstone, Michigan. He attended Northern Michigan University where he graduated cum laude with degrees in Philosophy and Political Science. Shortly after graduation he moved to Montana where he obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Montana School of Law. After graduation, he moved back to Michigan with his wife and worked in the private sector before passing the Michigan Bar in 2019.

Upon being admitted to the Michigan Bar he accepted a job at the Berrien County Public Defender’s Office and represented clients there for three years. When the opportunity to return to the Upper Peninsula arose, he took it, and began work in the Marquette County Public Defender’s Office. After two more years of public service, he joined the team at Casselman and Henderson, P.C.
